    Bye Bye Passat World

I got hit in my 1999 v6 right in front of my house. just put in a new clutch three weeks ago and now its probably totaled. Also twenty minutes after the cops left the same accident happened up the street half a block. Was a fun run while it lasted had a good few years. I'm going to take out all my stereo equipment what else can I snag before the insurance sells it to the junkyard?

I don't know, new bumper and hood aren't that much.. but paint is what is going to be the expensive part of any quote. The car is 14 years old, its really easy to pass that 75% of total worth mark.

But good luck, glad it was only a minor accident.

Have seen same kind of crashes in Passat here, damage has been almost everytime some bodyparts changing and painting. But thats tru if you can get needed parts cheap price, painting is always pretty much, especially if you dont know any painter better or have any friends who can paint.

Even if its old car (like all b5s) it's sad to give good car away. Junk yard guys pay always lowest possible price. In Finland you can find buyer very easily with that light damage, but here is almost oldest car stance in europe

unfortunately the radiator was taken out he was going at least 35 right before the school zone. Car won't start and is only worth maybe 3k. I assume he was trying to get around the line of cars waiting for me to go.

Man, I hope the guy that hit you gets nailed on insurance rates as well as a nasty ticket for speeding in a school zone .

    Sorry for your loss.

I'm thinking about the audi allroad. But it was totaled and I went to go try and pull my car audio gear and amps from my car at the auto shop. Lady tried to tell me I can't pull my speakers or radio out. Obviously I told her it was my car and personal property but I think I may have narrowly avoided having my stuff stolen.

its gonna be totalled for sure. anything over $3000 of damage is a total loss for this car. the good news is, the insurance will sell you the car back for around $1,000 if you want to repair it. and they will give you the money to repair it fully if you are covered.
