Black Passat B5.5 from Croatia :)

    Hi guys!!

    here's mine passat 1.9 TDI 96 kw from 2004.

i'll show you a few pictures how it looks when i just bought it and what have i done so far.

here it is nice and clean

this was my first set of wheels: Keskin KT5 8.5j with 225/40/18 tire,

this was my second set of wheels

unfortunately this happened. don't ask how...

so i tried to buy similar set of wheels because i really liked this wheel's. but when i came home i realized that they design is not same, maybe you wont notice, but those wheels on car looks like they are 17 not 18 coll.

    notice the difference:

next thing was a badgeless grill and black front lights:

    ta daa...

then i was back on this setup again...

it was pretty difficult to decide which wheels put on it, so i sold both of them. and bought a 19 AMG wheels with 225/35 tire. tomorrow i'll put more pictures how it looks on car and couple of pictures from brake upgrade 288mm on 312mm Tarox Sport Japan discs, rear bumper mods. for exhaust and some interior modifications.

    hope you like it. cheers

ok back to car. Lowering is my next step for a very long time because every time i got a money it just disappear from my wallet.
for serious next thing is AP coilovers.

painted shark antenna, trunk lip and golf 6 gti rear diffuser

    and without passat tdi text....

    here we have 288mm and 312mm disc.-TAROX

for this upgrade, i used a audi s3 brake calipers, actually only carriers, you can see on the picture differences between my and s3.

    Sport Japan

    and rear disc.

currently am on winter setup but those are definitely my first choice for summer time...

that's it for now, hope that coilovers will come soon so i can go lower.....
i've just mounted r-line steering wheel and audi s-line shift knob, picture soon....

That rear valence with the exhaust tips looks really good. Also like the AMG wheels much better than your old ones.

How hard was it to black out the head lights? What paint did you use? They look great.

thanks guys,i'm glad you like it.... well i'll try to do diy, hope you understand it.

first I bought used headlights because i wasn't sure what would happen with this on the end,so I still have the original headlights just in case something goes wrong with those ...

ok, i suppose you know how to remove your bumper because you can't take off your lights without removing bumper first.
    then, you need this tool.

use screwdriver for take off this thing (4 pieces, easy to find)

and unscrew this little thing, because later you'll forget it and probably break it.

now you can start heating compound of glass and plastic. use screwdriver for separation, but be careful because glass side can easy cracked...

after you separate it, clean the rest of glue or whatever it is from both side, because you don't want any troubles when you got to put it back.

    next you need is:
    plastic primer.
black matte spray, resistant on high temperature.
    silicone for windscreen.

after spray primer, you need to protect pieces that you don't want to spray in black.

here is a problem because you can't put anything on this reflex silver shit (don't know how to name it). it's too sensitive.
so i cut cardboard in these pieces.

after painted in black, it's looks like this.

    and without cardboard

use a lot of silicone here, and Connect them.

use this kind of tape to make sure it won't separate while the silicone is drying.
you can leave it overnight and that's it, all you have is put headlights back on car.

hope this helps, maybe not the best way to do this, but it's my way. ...lol.... cheers

Do you have pictures of the rear bumper modification? (it really looks great)
If you do, that would also make a good writeup.

unfortunately i don't have any good pictures of that bumper but i'll try to show you with photoshopped pics.

    ok, first thing:
this is original golf 6 gti rear diffuser.

and near rear bumper it looks like this:

use your pen to draw red lines like in this picture. it's line for cutting of course.
for cutting i used a scalpel

here you have to be very precise, because you don't want any holes between this two plastics. (first cut inside of line. than later you can fix what's left, because you have only one bumper and you don't want screw it.)
it should be looked like this later

    ok, important thing.
now you have hole in bumper and you can place your diffuser inside.

    but it look like this.
both side have the same problem. your bumper is curved but diffuser is straight.

that's why you will start fixing diffuser from here.
while fixing it, use heater so you can form diffuser every next step.

ok, now i'll show how i merged bumper and diffuser.

here use a little bigger screws. because it will make you easier to form diffuzor over bumper.
put a bit silicon with every screws,so it can't unscrew while driving.

ok final thing is fix diffuser under bumper and here you can see how exhaust looks like

it's not easy to do like you can see, but worth the effort.
    hope you understand these pictures.

Wow love the finish. Is it carbon wrap on your dash around your cd/radio? How hard was it to finish well?

not around cd, you can see it on that picture up , but it's not too hard to work with that carbon if you use heater, than you can easy Twist the ends.....

well, zach most important is tool, because am amater in this and it doesn't looks so hard, but with the right tools everything is easier.

today no pictures but it goes pretty good, hope tomorrow will be much closer to end.
and in meantime this came today for front bumper
