Ok.. I know there is a Write up for this in the Info. Forum for regular headlights. But that is only for the trim piece. I did my lights and thought it might help people if i showed how. Im not going to go over how to take off the headlights and dissasemble them. Go here if you need to know how to do that: So here gos:
Materials Needed:
1.LOTS of time and especially Patience
2.Fine Grit sandpaper, I used 320 and it worked great(hardware store for 4$)
3.Wide bristle fine art paint brush, Small Bristle fine are paint brush(hardware store for 2.50$ w/ both in a package)
4.Newspaper to paint on(free w/ morning news)
5.Stool or chair
6.Music to calm the nerves
7.Your favorite Tasty Beverage at hand
8.The most important thing is the Paint. I used Krylon Fusion Black because the bond to Plastic is AMAZING. It dries extremely fast and looks killer.
Things NOT to do:
1.DON'T use painters tape on the chrome face... it peels off the Chrome paint.
2.Don't paint by hand if you start to become shaky... take some time off and relax.
Ok, First step after you have ur lights all dismantled is Take out the Bulbs so that they aren't Damaged, or painted on.
Second step is sand down all the parts you want to paint and remove dust/particles from the face:
The Third step is to spray a good amount of your spray paint into a plastic container for you to use with your brushes.
Fourth step is, while holding the light with your Knees begin paintin the face Very Carefully witht the wide bristle brush. It will Look horrible and you will think you made a mistake, but just get that first base coat down. Use the small fine bristle brush to get those small narrow parts. Be careful not to paint ur Angel Eyes... you may even want to Put painters tape over those for protection.
Fifth Step is to put on your second and Third Coats to get it as even as possible. But make sure you let each coat dry before applying the next one.
After you have done this and are happy with the result just reassemble your car and enjoy the look. Good Luck
Finished Product:
