Hmmmm, that's strange. I thought the smaller passenger side mirror was only on some MY98's...

Maybe it's an early 99! I think the smaller mirror is nice.
When people ask why, I can tell them it's because this car was ment for the tight streets in Europe!

Just weird to see small passenger side mirrors. Couldn't get use to riding in Binary's car that had them. Must be me though

Mrgreek, I love your mighty clean B5. I am dying for that W8 light mod. I've contacted the guy on vortex about the zender front lip and have already put a downpayment on it. He is coming up toronto to make the transaction face to face. It's good for me becusae I don't have to pay for shipping. Thanks a lot for telling me about it

There's VW meets every Friday night at Krispy Kreme Dounuts (they are out of business but we still meet there) in Richmond Hill starting at around 8:00 - 8:30 pm up until 10:30 - 11:00 pm or so. So come on out!

Yes, go to photobucket.com and sign up for an account with them, they are free. Then upload your pics from your computer to your profile. Once all of your photos are uploaded, then come back to PassatWorld and copy and paste the links!

thanx, were did you pick up the headlights? Do you find the exterior lights are very dim, i usualy have to drive with my high beams at night just to see.

Yes I suppose the stock B5 headlights are dim. I have aftermaket headlights now, they are from a company named FK. I have installed a real HID kit into them. They provide a good amount of light now and I am happy with them. I got them from e-bay.ca from a seller know as "goingfast". They say the are in New York City but my lights were shipped from Germany! But it only took them 3 days to ship it to me! They came to me in one piece!

Hi, I paid $250 Canadian to get it lowered (labour only). I got it done at the vwvortex canadian forum sponsored shop: Precison Tuning Motorsports. It's owned by one guy and only he does all of the work! He's a pretty good mechanic, I would have him do it over again if I had the chance! He is located at Keele and Steeles. I live at Bayview and Steeles, so I am very close to him, so I go there a lot for service and parts!

What about Timing belt kit change. Do you have any idea about how much would it cost?

Just called him and he said he does not install out side parts, but i already purchased the kit from ECStuning.
