My 1.8t Passat was recently left in my parking lot for a week or so, due to not being able to drive until i replaced my exhaust.
On the way to install my exhaust i noticed the car was only boosting about 13psi. Was over 15psi before with my 196hp chip.
Could this be DV or n75 related? After chipping my car a few months ago i noticed some surges when flooring it on 5th. Boost spiking from 13 to almost 17 psi. I always thought it was due to a bad n75..
My DV DOES seem pretty loud for a stock bosch though? even though i do have a K&N
Also a second thing (Not sure if i should make a new topic or not):
Is there any way to optimize my current chip/tune for the new larger exhaust without a proper retune? Like getting a better n75/wastegate controller or something like that? maybe bigger MAF?
Or am i supposed to see a 10-15HP gain on my 196hp chip just with the exhaust swap alone.
