Hi Guys,

Getting this code intermittently, son says trans had gone into limp mode once too.

P1747 Transmission Solenoid Power Relay Open or Short to Ground

Didn't find much on this in my forum search. Any ideas?

Only trans related code I'm getting

Any ideas where the relay is? I can't find it in Bentley's, or my factory CD

BTW, I checked the TCM, its bone dry with no evidence of ever being wet.

Little bonus, I found about $20 worth of change in the passenger well under the carpet!

I haven't found a Transmission Solenoid Power Relay, and doubt there is one, could depend on year and engine. Check F31 and check its socket and wiring for bad connection.
stig786, what are the details of your car and engine ?

I'm pretty sure the "Transmission Solenoid Power Relay" doesn't exist in these cars, it's not listed in any diagram that I have seen.
The problem is likely to be low or no voltage supplied to one of the TCM inputs. Check F31/15A & F15/10A fuses for battery voltage on both sides, with fuses installed and ign. on.
Check that the fuses make good contact in the holders and the wires at the back of the fuse holders are making good contact.

With ign. on, you need to have battery voltage at T68a/23 & T68a/45 on the TCM, and T7/7 on the Multi Function Switch.

A late update I ended up replacing the TCU and this solved the problem but it occasionally still goes into limp mode after a long drive if i put the car in reverse scanned it and getting a error code for the multifunction switch but having some trouble finding the correct switch
