Buy a whole new center dash vent. I got one in good shape from a wrecking yard when a plastic peg broke off mine and the passenger side of the center vent would not move with the knob any more. You need to pull the vent straight out of the dash to remove it by pushing something like a butter knife, flat screwdriver, etc in the edge between the vent and the dash material to push the retaining clips down. Either that, or you can take it out, and see if the little tab/peg on that one part popped out of position, but odds are the plastic is brittle, it broke, and you just plain need a new part.
Four ounces of C4
J B Weld... then just live with it.
I suspect children were involved.
I know what I would want to do, but I live in a blue state that doesn't allow freedom of expression for parents.
same thing happened to me. try closing it up and pushing it back into place.. it worked on mine. the blade its pretty flexible and it might take some time but it worked for me.
