    alarm

    hi,ive had a look at old threads about alarm problems,but cant find any like my problem,when i lock car the lights flash but when unlocking car lights dont flash,now i know it used to work,ive had a look at plenum chamber and cleaned out leaves and water[there wasnt much water but holes were blocked],has anyone had same problem and was there a fix for it,passat 2002 model

    Check the coding of the CCM with vag-com. Those are features that can be turned on/off through software.

    thanks mate,i will have to find some one with it,it seems to be working at the moment ok,had a lot of rain here over the last week,had plenum chamber fill up not much so ccm is ok,but drivers side[right side] had water in foot well from leaking door seal,would you know if there is any wires or relays in the kick panel for the alarm,sorry i didnt reply earlier

    If it was working, then not working, then working again all on it's own, then your problem is not how the CCM is coded. Your symptoms sound more like the water your car took in is causing problems. On our NA cars, the CCM and its harness are on the left side of the car under the carpet directly in front of the front seat. That harness has some splices in it that like to corrode and fail if subjected to water. The right side of the car just under the carpet is the transmission computer (TCM) and harness. Do some searches for "water ingress" for more information.
