Headliner peeling from sides + Door card peeling

    2002 Passat 142K

My headliner is peeling off from sides and the read passenger door card fabric is peeling as well.

I saw this thread in which DaddyMatt recommended Gorilla glue.

    Headliner Trim Falling Off

Is there anything else that is recommended?\\If we use Gorilla glue, what do we use to apply it? Do we apply it on the fabric or underneath the roof?

    Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't use gorilla glue, it might not be made for cloth. Try to find a cloth specific adhesive at a craft store or auto parts store.

Gorilla glue may leak through and ruin the fabric on the side that shows in the vehicle. I would recommend using 3M Headliner Adhesive that I used to replace the fabric on the headliner and pillars. Works flawlessly and isn't too "liquidy" to seep through the fabric itself. It comes out much like silly strong and is VERY strong. You can pick up a bottle at a local AutoZone or automotive supplier for about $14 a bottle. Its pricey but well worth it.

3M and Permatex make a headliner adhesive is a spray can. Read and follow the directions on the can.

I bought two cans of 3M from AZ.

My headliner is sagging badly at the center of the car and when I turn down the sun visors. It's also drooping from the sides.

Is there a good DIY for it?

I still have a sagging head liner, but for the doors, I just opted to swap out the door panels (from the black cloth) to the leather panels. The grab handles were totally cracked and useless, so the new panels and new grab handles refreshes the car and gives it a completely different feel.

Tried glue but that didn't work. How hard is this job? Any pitfalls to watch out for?
From where should I get the fabric?
