Simple Ques: Will 3 spoke steering wheel out of '02 Jetta fit '98 Passat

Just a simple yes or no! I'd like to get rid of the large steering wheel with maybe smaller 3 spoke. Also want to go from the vinyl wheel to the leather one.

Is it as simple as take off old wheel, slide on 3 spoke (spline the same on steering shaft?) Am I going to run into problems with the airbag?
