Window and door locks not working...

Hi guys,

So I'm the new owner of a b5.5 passat, but its got 3 problems I'd like to fix, so I'll be making 3 thread.

The second problem is that my window and electric locks on the rear driver's side door do not work anymore. I bought the car with this problem, but to my knowledge, both stopped working at the same time.

And help would be appreciated guys! Thanks in advance!

First thing: if you can open your trunk lid from the front, your fuse is probably okay. If you can't, then that fuse (38) could be shot.


Next thing I'd check is that the electronics on that side are hooked up. You can take off the door card (insert) following the instructions here.

Make sure everything is hooked in properly and we'll go from there.

Trunk button in the front works well. I'll take the door card off tomorrow and see what's up, but I'm 99% sure everything is plugged in properly

May also be the wiring that runs to that door. Check the hinge area.

CCM wiring is the culprit.

since it's only 1 door, it's most likely a messed up wire in the rubber boot between the door and the B pillar. You can pull the boot back and have a look at the wires. If the wiring to the CCM is the issue, more often than not there will be more than 1 door affected.

True. but when the CCM starts to go it will effect one side at a time. As mine is currently the same, my driver side doesnt lock but I can push it down and it does.

Its annoying... but not worth it to fix at this time

If you can't see anything you can check continuity of the wires from the door connector to the corresponding CCM connector pin using a multimeter.
