    Wheel lock key?

Just found out. I'm missing key lock for wheels... where to get it from (except the dealer)? Is it the same key for all Passats? How about key for Jetta or New Beetle? Same thing? THX

Just go to the dealer, it's not a big $ item. There are a few different keys and you'll be sure to get the right one.

not to point out the obvious, but you double-, or even triple-checked the tool-kit, right? my buddy called with that same problem and i said "Look again... there's a little pocket", he said it's not there, i said humor me and just look again - it was there of course.

The little pocket has a small velcro flap on it.

Look in the wells on each side of the car in the trunk. I thought I lost mine and had to get a new one from the dealer (approx $25). They have a kit with an assortment of all wheel locks used on VWs and can match the one for your lug bolts. I was working on my Passat over the weekend and found the lost wheel lock in one of the aforementioned wells so now I have an extra one. I'm planning on replacing all wheel locks with standard lug bolts, especially after I discovered that I've been running with only four bolts on my right rear wheel for quite some time thanks to the tire shop at Sears.

it's in the tool kit supplied wit the car. very discrete hidden flap. i got a new set of locking nuts thinking that there wasn't one supplied.

try taking everything out that youcan find. then open the plastic out flat and there'll be a tell tale lump.....

In the left side of the trunk, along with the jack, there should be a rolled up vinyl tool pouch, containing wrenches, screwdriver, a plastic wheel alignment pin, etc. on one end of that pouch, when you unroll it, there should be a little velcro closed pocket with the wheel lock key.

I was such an idiot...I couldn't find it, so I assumed it was lost...so I went out and bought another key from the dealer ($7).

Then, I found it in the pocket! The pocket is on the corner of the flap of the pouch.
