Adding OEM fogs w/ toggle switch? Keyed power source?

I just bought a 2012 Passat SE demo model. Car does not have fogs so I ordered the fog light retrofit kit today. I am planning on running them with the factory harness. Instead of having the relay trigger wire run from the headlight switch I want to run a toggle or rocker switch.

I want the trigger wire to be keyed so it goes off with the ignition. Does anyone know of any wires or a way to do this without having to remove the fuse block or tap into a wire? I am a little afraid of tapping into any wires and risk VW saying I am voiding my warranty or causing any electrical gremlins. Secondly I don't want to run these hot all the time and risk killing a battery because I forgot to turn them off.

Any ideas on this? I get the fog kit in tomorrow. Hoping to find some sort of "OEM-ish" looking switch to activate them.

    Wiring Help

I am looking to run a toggle switch versus using the factory headlight switch. I assume the red wire runs the power for the lamps. The green/yellow is the trigger wire.

The black and white that plugs into the BCM is my question. What do those wires do? If I do not plug that into the BCM should I connect the two black/white leads together and will that basically eliminate the headlights high beam fog off function?

I have a single pole single throw toggle. Power in. Power out. Ground.

Is there someone who knows if the white/blacks could be used with the toggle. Tape them off. Or just connect them together?

Wiring diagram in simple man terms would be awesome!! I have a nice clean toggle with red LED light that I plan on using that I think will tie in nicely with the dash.

Once done I'll post pics of the install if someone can help me with the wiring layout.

I know I could just do my own wiring harness but was wanting to use the one I got with the kit. Guess I will be laying them out in the floor with a battery and make some make shift grounds. If I could get a hold of the actual wiring diagram of the harness that might help.

Wow. If that's the same kit like VW sells then that is a pretty good deal. I paid $440 for the kit and I bought my Euro switch (OEM VW version) through ECS tuning.

Love the fog lights!! A definite must for the B7.

Just to clarify though I got the kit from another source but the switch through ECS.
