FS: PES G1 Supercharger (not mine!) in Denver CL $1,500/obo.

Anyone else want to learn to love the whine?

    PES G1 Supercharger

FWIW, I'll have an ATQ tune sorted in a few days. I also have an AHA ECU tuned and on my bench for B5ers wanting to get blown in rare style.

Oooooh... If I didn't have a TDI I'd definitely be thinking about it.

I live nearby, and could possibly facilitate shipping if necessary.

D'oh! I forgot you were a diesel. But I knew with you being in that neighborhood you would be among the first to weigh in though.

C'mon, John. Be a pioneer. Set a precedent and be the first to swap out a perfectly good 1.8T motor for a blown 2.8L setup.

I'm actually looking for a b5.5 wagon. Was preferring manual with a 1.8t, but I may change my mind and make the main requirement a manual trans. If I somehow end up with a v6, it's getting blown.

Just close your eyes and think of this in a waggie:

My son says my car sounds like the ones on Forza Motorsports.

Obviously all the superchargers pop up when I don't have my V6 anymore. I spent a lot of time searching for one back in the day, and now they're all in my face.

Oh well, I'll just have to settle for a BT

Depends on how well you can keep from burying your pedal I'd imagine.

To be honest, It'd still be better gas mileage than any van, truck or v8. And wouldn't use THAT much more gas. In fact, your car woudn't have to rev as high to get up to the same speed. Overall, i'd suspect a 10-15% increase in gas.

with that being said, it'd be worth it for me on my daily driver... Heck... i'm waiting for my turbo to blow so I can upgrade.. lol

This is my daily driver though I often drive less than 10 miles any given day, as a result I have averaged just over 9K a year for 9 years (the excess is road trips to beach, or back roads to Indiana, etc.) My mileage sucks recently because I spend most of my time on urban and suburban side streets. When I got on the highway last weekend I calculated I was getting close to 26 mpg, and I wasn't going much more than 80 mph.

That's a real consumption vs. distance calculation. My MFD computer is all whacked because it thinks it is leaning out the mixture, but it doesn't know it is pushing fuel through the S4 injectors yet. It is funny, when I tank up, it thinks my range is 460 miles. As if.

I don't know our grandmothers van gets about 26-27mpg on the free way. So they don't do that bad lol.
